This past weekend a team from IHOP-KC hosted a onething regional conference in New York. We were in Queens with around 1,500 lovers of Jesus. Here is the recap from the weekend:
onething NYC was met with great expectation as many different ethnic groups and congregations met to encounter the Holy Spirit and cry out for revival. Immediately out of the gate from the first session the Holy Spirit met us with a tangible presence and grace to enter into prayer and worship. We spent most of the first night in intercession for college campuses, high schools, and various leaders within the city.
We held the event at a Korean church in Queens known as Promise Ministries. They have daily prayer meetings at 5AM so it made it easy for the conference to enter into prayer. We could sense that the road for corporate prayer had been laid from this particular congregation and that the Lord was calling the church of NYC to pray and fast.
I just returned last night from leading a young adult Christian conference called onething (Psalm 27:4) in NYC. I know this may be crazy for some of you to hear…but this was actually my first time to Manhattan and Times Square. I’ve seen NYC from the sky many times while traveling but never made it out of the airport. Well not this time! Our conference was in Queens and Saturday night after our last session some of our hosts surprised our team and arranged a limo to take us all downtown for pizza. No this is not a normal occurrence for our weekend conferences 
but we gladly received the surprise!
1. How will we know that the Antichrist is coming into power? The main sign is the abomination of desolation when the Antichrist stands in the temple of Jerusalem proclaiming himself as God and demanding to be worshipped as God (Mt. 24:15, 2 Thes. 2:4). This act by the Antichrist will be the most abominable (causing moral revulsion) act in all of human history. The desolation, or destruction, it causes it catastrophic in scale compared to nothing in all of human history.
2. When does the final three and a half years of human history as we know it begin? It begins by the act of the abomination of desolation (Mt. 24:15; Mk. 13:14; 2 Thes. 2:3-4; Rev. 13:12-18). We know that when this act happens God will bring the antichrist and all of his regime to an end in 3 1/2 years. We also know that Jesus will return at this same time.
1. Are we able to know the signs of the times? Yes, Jesus commanded the people who lived in the generation of His return to know the signs (Mt. 24:32-44). Jesus rebuked those who did not heed the prophetic signs that pointed to His coming (Mt. 16:1-4; Lk. 19:41-44). Prophetic signs serve the Church in the same way a weather station signals coming trouble so that people can prepare and save lives.
Over the next few weeks I’m going to be posting some questions with answers about why we should study the Scriptures concerning the days that are ahead of us and particularly the second coming of Jesus. We’re having her birthday party tomorrow morning which is a couple of days before her actual birthday. Considering it’s the day before Easter we have 700 eggs ready to go for a massive egg hunt. We’re expecting about 30 kids to invade the farm tomorrow in hunt for a “PARTTTTTTEEEEE”…should be fun read more…
1,500 gathered this past weekend for the onething young adult conference just outside of Seattle, WA in Tacoma. The Lord moved mightily as we witnessed hundreds come under the power of the Holy Spirit. Many were filled with joy, laughter, fire and zeal to see the name of Jesus exalted in the NW part of our nation. This weekend was particularly marked with healing and deliverance.
